Star Guard Suffers Setback in Game 2 Loss

Celtics Take 2-0 Lead in Eastern Conference Finals

BOSTON—Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a hamstring injury during Thursday night's 126-110 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Haliburton left the game with 6:30 remaining in the third quarter after pulling up lame on a drive to the basket. He immediately went to the locker room and did not return.

The Pacers announced after the game that Haliburton will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury.

The Pacers are already down 2-0 in the series and will now have to face the Celtics without their best player.

Haliburton has been the Pacers' leading scorer and assister this season, averaging 20.2 points and 10.2 assists per game.

The Celtics took advantage of Haliburton's absence in the third quarter, outscoring the Pacers 38-21 and taking a commanding lead.

Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Saturday night in Indianapolis.
